The grant is awarded to high quality international research collaborations to enable travel and knowledge exchange.

The researchers will develop their glaucoma research collaboration to generate a novel understanding of the retinal and optic nerve metabolism. This is done by exploring metabolites in the retina and optic nerve in a rat model of glaucoma by ultra high resolution TEM (transmission electron microscopy).
